Tax Preparation Resources

We know this time of year can be taxing, so let us ease your mind with some helpful tax preparation resources.

Below is a list of programs that may help you get your taxes done for FREE:

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) - This program offers free tax help to people who generally make $56,000 or less, people with disabilities and limited English speaking taxpayers who need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals. Find a VITA site near you today. Note: Income thresholds vary for in-person tax preparation. - Take advantage of helpful tools such as calculators, error checkers and online chats, plus a free help line if you have any questions. If you prefer to file in person with an IRS-certified tax preparer, just visit or call 211 to find a location near you. logo

Expecting a Refund?

If you're receiving a tax refund this year, we suggest the following:

  • Direct Deposit - With Direct Deposit, you can expedite your tax refund. There is no check to be lost or stolen, plus you can access your funds as soon as your tax refund posts.
  • Savings Account - Consider using the extra money to create an emergency Savings Account to help with any unexpected expenses in 2020.
  • Secured Mastercard® - Need to improve your credit? If so, you may consider setting aside a portion of your refund for a security deposit to open a Secured Mastercard credit card.
